Advent!

Hello! Brrr, it's a chilly day here in central Scotland. Nice to get the advantage of the lighter mornings though - although that means it will be dark by 5.30ish.

I'm pleased with myself today - I've finished a project I started a few weeks back.  An advent calendar.  Mad with 25 little boxes cut using the Lawn Fawn Tiny Gift Box die.  This was really good fun to make, and so easy (if not a little repetitive! LOL)

Not the best pic as I couldn't get the lighting right, but you get the idea!

Now I need to decide what to put in each box!

Have a lovely day!

Tis the Season (nearly!)

Hello! Sunday already and an extra hour in bed today with the clocks going back.
Busy day today visiting family so not much crafty time.  Enough to make a quick card though.  Sticking in the Christmas space!

Now I need to see what is going on downstairs as there's a pumpkin being carved and some cupcakes being made!

Looking forward to a wee glass of Sauvignon Blanc in the conservatory before tea (as it will be dark earlier tonight!)

Hope you're having a lovely weekend!

Watercolouring

Hello!

Have way through the week!  And it's been a busy one!  Back to work and catching up on email etc!

What better way to relax on a Wednesday evening than a little bit of watercolouring!  This was just a mish mash of colours to see what would happen! Loved doing the text though - love how the black stands out so well!

A Wet Monday!

It's raining.. and it's "wet" rain.  You know, the small rain that soaks you in seconds!? So what better to do after going out for a lovely family lunch than to keep going with the Christmas card prep!

I think this stamp set may make it in to my top ten fav sets ever - Santa's Suit from Stampin' Up!  These gorgeous little images cut so well with the matching Framelits.  This card was so fun and easy to make.  I used my new Stampin' Blends (Cherry Cobbler) to colour.  They blend so easily.

I think I might make more of these cards!

Whatever you are doing, I hope you're having a good Monday!

Little Birdies

Hi!

Been having a quick and easy play with these little birdies!

Another Christmas Card

...using Stampin' Up! Hometown Greetings Edgelits dies. This time a DL card! Definitely not a card size I use very often!

This is a lovely die set to use. I think the effect of layering up the houses really works, and it's so easy.

A quiet Sunday

Hi!

Spending Sunday afternoon in the craft room.  Why is it when you have the time to do something you end up procrastinating?  I'm trying my best not to!  It's been a lovely week.  We've all been on holiday so have spent the week in a bit of luxury at a cottage in the Angus Glens.  Gorgeous surroundings and perfect peace and quiet!

And no trip to the Glens would be complete without a toffee coo!

So far today I've been using up some scraps of paper and made this.  Nothing fancy.  Need to go in search of my mojo now..

Have a lovely Sunday!

Challenge Time!

Hello! Hope you're having a lovely weekend!

It's challenge time again at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends!  This month I've been lucky to have a gorgeous image from Lemon Shortbread to play with - another one that is such good fun to colour!

The image is called Christmas Wreath Mouse

So why not pop on over to LPOCF and join us!

Better start thinking about Christmas!

Well, it's never too early! And with so many good friends and family to consider there are lots of cards to be made!   I always count myself so lucky at this time of year to have so many lovely people in my life.. and what better way to say how valued they are than to make a handmade Christmas card.
Here's my starter for ten!

This is just a selection of the 25 (or so) cards I've made so far.  I think that means I'm a third of the way there!

October already!

Hello!

Well I can't believe we're at the end of the first week in October already!  Just about to come in to birthday time in our family, then Christmas, so now I really need to get my thinking cap on about what to get for people! Always a challenge!
And we have a new addition in the family to buy for (luckily I don't think she will be too fussy!)

This is Piper and she's nearly 15 weeks old.  She's so well behaved, she's settling in so well!

I've been trying to cut back on the crafty spends (partly because I'm not doing a lot of crafting!) but needless to say, I'm not doing too well.  I had (had!) to have some new ink pads so I decided to get some of the little Hero Arts cubes..

They are lovely to work with - the colours are rich, they stamp perfectly, the only challenge I have is to find somewhere to keep them (too much stuff!)

Now I really need to get on and finish an anniversary card I'm in the process of making.

When I get this finished I can get on and play with my new toy - a complete set of the new Stampin' Blends from Stampin' Up! and the Climbing Orchid stamps and dies.

Have a lovely weekend everyone!
